learning to walk

Oct 25th, 2005 by | 0

i think this is going to be a way too personal addition to my way to personal category. i have attempted to be less personal this year, and it has worked pretty well so far, but sometimes you hit a ‘milestone’ and you have to set the feeling of anxiety free.

i feel like i have finally learned to walk. as i have stated here before, learning to move through life properly is a skill you learn at a very young age. for those of us who only learned to navigate by making the illusion of navigation powerful and convincing, the actual learning of the skill is exhilarating! i have learned to walk! i have learned to open my mouth and yell ’stop – no more’. it almost makes me want to go take a walk in the dark…but that may be more of a ‘when i learn to run’ step! strangely enough, instead of being anxious, i feel strong. there will be consequences, of that i am sure…but they are worth the ability to shout and walk upright and yell into the wind, STOP. there is still so far to go, but i have come such a long, long way.

the picture above was drawn by Linda Bergkvist. Make sure to check out her work, it is really beautiful!
