i am so excited about being on the way to california that i nearly did not sleep last night! i bounced all the way to the gate…and then i saw the plane!!! i did not know that it was physically a possibility to fly such a small plane over the ocean! it was the worst flight i have ever, ever been on! there were people throwing up both a few rows in front and a few rows behind, there was a man directly behind me telling his fellow passengers that he invented aerodynamics (well, that one made me giggle!!), and the women next to me got mad every time i needed to get up (which i can kind of understand…but the seats were like sitting on a local bus!) and instead of the 6 or 7 hours a ‘normal’ sized airplane takes to get over the atlantic, this one took 9. i will never ever fly with this airline again…even if they gave me tons of free tickets! and the staff! well, they were not very nice, i can say. the main stewardess was this really bossy woman who kept telling the people in the middle to pull down the shades so we could all sleep (instead of the people who are actually sitting by the window…still trying to work out the logic in this one). sigh. but, almost there and then the good times can begin. maybe i will go back to the duty free shop and smell that perfume i smelled on the way to get something to eat. it was nice.

update: sitting with a jack and coke in the airport bar…things are looking up :-P… and i have been promised a beautiful sunset on the coast…looking forward to that too!
