too much to blog!!!
i have not really had time to blog this week (reason will become clear towards the end of this post), and consequently, i have begun mentally blogging again (strange). i want to talk about so many great things that have happened this week, and will do so in a series of posts today.
worked on the HUMlab blog switch (below)
become friends with someone i find ‘mentally stimulating’
started playing dress-up for the big ball
learned to use an apple while working on the blog switch in the evenings (can’t wait!!!!)
The HUMlab blog switch: (mainly cross posted from the HUMlab blog):
The HUMlab blog

Emerging CommunicationsOne of my favorite analogies of a blog is the living room. A warm and cozy place to invite friends for a little snack and conversation. HUMlab has used Movable Type to structure its living room for the past three years…but just as the time comes to recover the old couch and paste up a bit of new wall paper, so is it time to restructure our blog. The HUMlab blog is now using Wordpress MU, a platform which I find exciting due to the community of passionate developers and supportive users. With this change, a few stylesheets have been reupholstered, but their placement in our living room remains the same. So please, come in, have a bit of coffee, and join in the conversation. We can’t wait to talk with you :-)
There are still a lot of smallish things to take care of – a few picture errors, change the main font, style quirks, etc- but i think it is coming along quite nicely and i am really happy about switching platforms. one thing i have discovered while working on the new streams page is that i need to change the editor. there are lots of great plugins for improved editors and i want one that stops assuming things. the wysisyg editors can often be a what-you-see-will-be-very-difficult-to-get editors. does anyone have a wordpress favorite out there?
