interesting pictures

i just got one dataset to work!! yeah, happy dance :-)
but i am not sure how accurate it is. this is just one day of the dataset and i am curious about that center cluster. also, one on hand, i would have expected more connections…on the other, this is a ‘big’ picture and not a focus on any particular network. there may be 15 million posts in the dataset, but an entire network may not have been captured.
these images have taken A LOT of work to produce and a paper is currently being written (to be submitted on december 8th) if you have any questions or comments, i would love to hear them. i am still very much in the ‘figuring things out’ phase.

If the paper doesn’t work out you could always show them at an art gallery. I swear the big one in the middle starts moving if I look at for long enough.

I agree :-) If code is poetry, then networks *are* art! I am fascinated by SNA and wonder at times if I have not gone into the wrong field :-P
